Creatures, Inc.
Creatures, Inc. (formally known as Ape) is the company responsible for the inception of the Chalien franchise. The company was founded by Tsunekazu Ishihara in March 1989 (as Ape) and November 8, 1995 (as Creatures) and the current president is Hirokazu Tanaka.
Creatures, Inc. originally published their original game Chee-Chai Alien by themselves, however it includes various references to Nintendo such as Chaliens based on the Game Boy Advance and Love Tester. By the time that the second game in the series (known as Nonono Puzzle Chalien) was released, the franchise became officially owned by Nintendo and Creatures, Inc.
Outside of the Chalien franchise, Creatures, Inc. are best known as an affiliate of The Pokémon Company and for the creation of the EarthBound franchise, known as the Mother franchise in Japan.
